Mariinsky Youth Orchestra & Chorus - Cinderella Russian Premiere

Cinderella is an ambitious and characteristically subversive work from the maverick Russian, Vladimir Tarnopolski, with a wide palette that includes hilarious spoofs of both rap music and of 1970s pop music. It is filled with magic and delight. It is principally scored for young players and singers, but there is also an optional "add-on" professional ensemble element. The work has been designed to be uniquely flexible to the requirements of schools and youth orchestras and can be presented in a variety of forms - from choruses with narrator and piano, to the full version with professional ensemble, string orchestra and flexiband. The Mariinsky Thetare in St Petersburg recently presented a fully choreographed version of Cinderella.

ORCHESTRATIONS

1-4 Narrator/s
